Her Story

A Life Rooted in Lantana

Karen Lythgoe has called Lantana home since 1965. She attended local schools, raised her family here, and watched this community grow and change — always with a deep sense of responsibility to protect what makes Lantana special.

She served on the Town Council before being elected Mayor in 2023 and reelected in 2024. Her commitment is straightforward: keep Lantana moving forward without losing the character that makes it special.

Karen supports responsible redevelopment, investment in infrastructure and public spaces, strong public services, and long-term planning that puts residents and Lantana's quality of life first.

Her service extends beyond Lantana through the Florida League of Mayors, Florida League of Cities, Palm Beach County Water Resources Task Force, and other regional and statewide organizations.
